About Us

Salt Lake City

Stephen J. Buhler,
Attorney at Law

Twenty years ago I left a downtown law firm and opened my own practice in West Valley City. My office location is convenient and accessible. I am proud to offer high-quality, personalized legal services. I want everyone who comes and meets with me to leave a little happier and more confident, with a better understanding of the law than they had when they first came in. My goal is to provide real help for real people.

My practice focuses on family law, estate planning and probate, including divorce, paternity, adoption, premarital agreements, guardianship, wills, and trusts.

Call me, Stephen Buhler, at 801-964-6901 and I will do my best to help you. If I am not available when you call, leave a message and I will call you back, or feel free to schedule an appointment.

An Attorney with a Good Reputation

REAL HELP FOR REAL PEOPLE

A Dedication to Providing the Best Legal Solutions

Our Purpose

Our law firm is dedicated to helping you avoid and solve legal problems. We understand that hiring an attorney can be an intimidating experience. Be assured that every member of this firm will handle your case seriously, sensitively, and confidentially. We want you to feel comfortable and secure in allowing us to help you take care of your legal issues.

Advantages of a Small Law Firm

When you hire a sole practitioner or small law firm to represent you, you deal directly with the attorney responsible for your case. In some large firms your case will be accepted by a partner but then given to a younger attorney to work on for experience. You may hire a large law firm for its well-known name and never even get to meet one of the named partners. At this law office we strive to tailor representation to your individual needs. We stay small on purpose to preserve the integrity of the lawyer-client relationship.

Expertise you can count on

We Take Your Trust and
Confidentiality Seriously

Attorney-Client Privilege

The Rules of Professional Conduct prohibit lawyers and their staff from discussing your legal problem or personal affairs with others. You should feel comfortable in discussing your situation with your lawyer and his staff. At this law office, we consider the simple fact that you consulted us a secret that we will not divulge without your permission. You should feel secure in revealing all pertinent information, good or bad. The better our understanding of your unique factual situation, the better we can help you.

Fees

The fee you pay for our services will often depend on the type of case you have. Fees may be based on a flat rate or an hourly rate. All fees are explained and agreed to in writing at the time the case is accepted. Generally a down payment or retainer is required of the client. If you ever have a question about your bill, you should feel free to call and discuss it.
